Now at 47 years old and not physically able to work any longer in my career of 30 years Underground Mining on the tools, drills, blasting and sinking mine shafts down to 10,000 feet underground, and also driving massive Underground and surface Rock Haul trucks as well. After finishing snapping down your binders tap all your connections with your bar sometimes Shocking them deepens and the hook and any slippage allowing the chain to loosen slightly, you'll get more usually when the connection is down through the Box. The way you're connecting on your passenger side eliminates most of that. I sometimes Belly Wrap a ratchet strap around the front the beam, tube etc if I don't have a Head Board on the trailer. Bad ass truck! A little over two weeks ago I lost my 2007 Kenworth W 900 and end dump trailer in a ( 100,000 LOSS) head on collision with another semi. I almost died that day. But I’m not going to let anything stop me, me and my husband are owner operators And we are on the hunt for another truck and trailer. The other side was 100% at fault. I never left my lane. I had no chance to react. It happened in seconds on that dangerous 2 Lane Rd. to Phoenix if you’re a truck driver, you know exactly where I’m talking, be safe out there. Make sure if you’re filming when you’re driving do it in a safe way. When you are filming, you were paying attention more to what is going on with the truck next to you and filming in your side mirror. Which is taking your attention off of what you’re actually doing. This truck driving is not a game you’re owner operator. You should be a lot more careful than what you are because you have a beautiful truck and trailer and it only takes a second for everything to be gone . Unfortunately you are paying attention to the filming more than watching your driving and that is so dangerous. It only takes a second. Remember, not only do you have to be paying attention to what you’re doing but you need to be anticipating what everybody else is doing. Even when I was doing everything right that day, everything went wrong in that second and there was absolutely nothing I could do but brace myself. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody! Please be safe out there, fellow drivers.❤
